Robson Severino da Silva, or simply Robson, was born on 10 July 1983 in Recife, Brazil.
Robson started his senior career joining Itabaiana in 2004. In June 2005 da Silva penned a 6-month contract with Mogi Mirim where he made 14 outings for the second team.
In 2006 Robson returned to his former club Itabaiana earning only 10 appearances. In the summer of 2006, Portuguese Gondomar S.C. signed the footballer on a 1-year contract. During the 2006/07 season da Silva started in 29 games.
When 24, the Brazilian penned a contract with Vitória de Setúbal, where he started his rise as a football star. From 2007 to 2009, Robson earned 57 appearances and fired 2 goals.
In July 2009 he signed a 3-year contract with C.S. Marítimo. For 3 years, the centre back appeared in 62 games. After the contract expired, da Silva moved to the Belgian club Oud-Heverlee Leuven on a free transfer.
