Rod Fanni is a French football player of Beninese origin who operates as a right back at Marseille and the France national team.
Fanni’s youth career began at Martigues playing in Ligue 2. Two years later he transferred to Lens where he played in Ligue 1, the UEFA Cup and the Champions League for the first time. In the 2004/05 season he was featuring for Châteauroux in Ligue 2. In summer 2007 he moved to Nice; two more years later he appeared for Rennes.
On 16 December 2010 the footballer signed a contract with Marseille for two and a half years.
The football player made his debut in the France national team on 14 October 2008 in a match against Tunisia. Later he was often given calls up to the national team, but there Fanni was a second string player after Bacary Sagna.
