Sergei Kiriakov is a former footballer from Russia. He was born in 1970 and came through the youth ranks of Spartak Oryol and Torpedo Moscow. He began his professional playing career at FC Dynamo Moscow in 1987 and played until 1992. Between 1992 and 1998 Kiriakov played for Karlsruher SC, in 1998/99 he played for Hamburger SV, and then had a spell at Tennis Borussia Berlin. After that he left Germany for China and there he played for Yunnan Hongta and Shandong Luneng.
Kiriakov was called up to play for the Soviet national team, Olympic team, CIS and since 1992 he was a part of the Russia national team, for them he made 28 appearances and scored 10 goals. After retirement he worked at FC Carl Zeiss Jena, then became a commentator.
