Soslan Dzhanayev is a Russian goalkeeper born on 13 March 1987 in Vladikavkaz.
Soslan began his youth career at FC Alania Vladikavkaz and went on his football grooming at PFCCSKA Moscow youth system in between 1999 and 2006. In the 2005/06 season, he played for the reserve squad of the giant club.
In the 2007 season, Dzhanayev played 28 matches for FC KamAZ Naberezhnye Chelny in the National League Championship. In 2008, Dzhanayev moved to FC Spartak Moscow. The player’s debut for the club took place in August 2008 in the Russian Cup. In the 2009 season, Dzhanayev debuted in the Premier League. However it was not a successful season for him as he conceded 28 goals in 26 matches for the club. In the 2010 campaign, Soslan made a total of 12 league appearances conceding 13 goals.
In August 2010, Soslan Dzhanayev went on loan to Terek Grozny for two and a half years. The player made his début for the squad in October 2010. In 2013 he switched to his home club Alania Vladikavkaz and in 2014 was released from his parent club Spartak.
From 2007 to 2009, the goalkeeper performed for the Russian U21 team, and in 2011 he was called up to the reserve national team for the first time.
