Thomas Enevoldsen is a KV Mechelen midfielder. He was born on 27 July 1987 in Aalborg, Denmark.
Thomas grew up in the family of a former footballer Peter Enevoldsen. The son followed his father’s steps and launched his career in the youth system of Aalborg Boldspilklub (AaB). Thomas debuted for the senior team in 2005 and made 13 outings with 1 goal in his two first seasons.
In the 2007/08 season, Enevoldsen won the fans, experts and coaching staff by his stunning performance. By the end of season, in 2008 Thomas started in 31 of 33 Superliga matches. Moreover, he also took part in the 2007/08 UEFA Cup delivering a goal against Tottenham Hotspur. In April 2008, Enevoldsen was crowned Player of the Month in the Danish Superliga.
The 2008/09 season turned out to be even more successful. Thomas made 28 Superliga appearances, participated in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup. At the end of the season he received a large amount of interest from a number of European clubs, including SL Benfica. In total, Enevoldsen netted 6 goals in 78 matches for his beloved Aalborg BK.
In 2009 the Dane was acquired by FC Groningen in a transfer deal worth €1.25 mln. Thomas opened his account with Groningen in his debut match on 13 December 2009 versus Sparta Rotterdam.
Since the summer of 2010, he represents the colors of KV Mechelen.
Thomas Enevoldsen is a Denmark international. He received more than 26 calls-up from the youth squads, including 13 matches for the U-21 team. His first senior cap came in October 2009.
