Vitaliy Vernydub is a Ukrainian professional footballer currently playing as a defender for Zorya Luhansk FC. He was born on October 17, 1987 in Zaporizhia, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. He is a son of Yuriy Vernydub, a famous Ukrainian footballer and current coach of Zorya Luhansk FC.
His father could not imagine his son’s future without football, so the boy went to the football schools of Smena Saint Petersburg (1997-2000) and Metalurh Zaporizhya FC (2000-2003).
In 2004 Vitaliy Vernydub started performing for Metalurh-2 Zaporizhya FC. In 2007 he was loaned to Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih FC, where he showed up on the pitch in 9 matches.
After his return to Metalurh Zaporizhya FC, Vitaliy Vernydub was a regular player. He made 48 appearances and scored 5 goals for the club.
In January 2012 Vitaliy Vernydub signed a 5-year contract with Zorya Luhansk FC.
As for his international career, Vitaliy Vernydub featured for the Ukraine National U21 Football Team.
