Wang Song is a midfielder of Hangzhou Greentown. He was born on 12 October 1983 in Guiyang, China.
In 2000 Wang Song penned his first professional contract with Sichuan Quanxing. Wang was lucky to get enough playing time at the beginning of his professional career. At first the head coach sometimes included him in the starting eleven using the young footballer mainly as a substitute. However after a while Wang Song managed to prove himself as a reliable midfielder. He started to appear on the field more often becoming a regular in midfield. Wang Song played an important role in Sichuan Quanxing where he scored 12 goals in 95 matches during five years and a half.
In 2006 Wang Song changed his club moving to Chengdu Blades where he immediately became the leader of the team. Song delivered efficient and solid performance that’s why the head coach always included him in the starting line-up unless the footballer needed rest. For three years and a half Song made 105 appearances and kicked 30 goals for Chengdu Blades. In 2010 Wang Song joined Hangzhou Greentown where he plays a very important role in midfield.
In 2008 Wang Song made his international debut for the China national football team. Since then he has taken part in 9 games for the national team.
