Kaposvári Rákóczi FC is a Hungarian football club that represents the city of Kaposvár.
The club was created on August 15, 1923 by the group of workers of the sugar factory. The first professional match arrived against MÁV I in 1924. After World War Two the club mostly played in the third tier. In 1972 Kaposvári earned promotion to the second division as champions of NBIII. A year later Imre Mathesz took up the reign at the club and guided his team into the elite division. 22,000 thousand people gathered at the stadium to watch their favourite team’s first match in the top tier. Kaposvári secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Vasas SC. In the 1976/1977 season Kraci finished 17th and slipped into NBII. The 1980s and 1990s saw the team perform in the second and third divisions. In 2004 Kaposvári again stepped up into the OTP Bank Liga. In the 2007/2008 campaign the side achieved its best league position, finishing 6th.
The club plays in all white. Stadion Kaposvár Rákoczi is the team’s home ground.
