RNK Split is a Croatian football club located in Split. The club currently competes in the Prva HNL. RNK Split is considered as the team of the working class.
It was created on April 16, 1912. During World War II 120 footballers from the club perished in the trenches, fighting against Axis forces. Having gained professional status, RNK Split rose from the fourth division to reach the Croatian top tier in 2010. In its first season the team finished in a highly creditable third place, earning a spot in the Europa League qualification. The side demolished Slovenian club NK Domžale in the second round but suffered a defeat from Fulham in the next qualifying round.
The Reds’ home matches are staged at Stadion Park mladeži with a seating capacity of 4,075 spectators. In 1933 the club switched to all red. The away kit features white shirts and shorts with red socks.
