PFC Sokol is a football club in Russia. The history of the football club goes back to creation of Dynamo football club. Its name was changed several times Lokomotiv, Energiya, Sokol.
Dynamo made their debut in the Soviet league in 1946 and until 1949 they played in the Second Class. They returned to Soviet league in 1954 and played in the third level of football league system. In 1955 they were eliminated from the league and in 1957 they returned back. In 1965 the team was the first in its group and then was promoted to Second Group, Class A. In 1980s they played in the Second league.
After the dissolution of the USSR, Sokol began to compete in the Russian First League, won it in 2000 and advanced to the Premier League. They spent a season in the top division, but then dropped from it and in 2005 they were relegated to the third level of Russian football league system. In 2006 Sokol began to play in the amateur league. From 2011 to 2014 they competed in zone Center zone of the Second division (third tier). In the season 2014/2015 Sokol played in FNL.
