Zhetysu

History and achievements

Zhetysu is a football club from Taldykorgan that was created in 1981. In 1993 the side was renamed Taldykorgan, but a season later the title was changed to Kainar. The current name was returned in 1999.

Zhetysu is a founding member of the Kazakhstan Premier League, where they played for most of their history, missing only five seasons. The highest achievement of the team in the top flight is the second place in the season 2010/2011.

The chairman of the club is Evgeniy Nam.

The home ground is Zhetysu Stadium that can hold up to 4,000 supporters.
