Dmitri Cheryshev is a former Russian football player who was born on 11 May 1969 in Gorky. He started his youth career in Torpedo Gorky, while his first professional team was Khimik Dzerzhinsk where he played in the season 1987/1988. In 1990 the forward penned a deal with Lokomotiv Nizhny Novgorod and played in the club for two seasons making 79 appearances and netting 14 goals.
In 1993 he moved to Dynamo Moscow where he stayed for three years and featured in 104 matches.
Later the striker signed a deal with the Spanish side Sporting Gijón where he played form 1996 to 2001. At the end of his career Cheryshev had spells with Burgos and the amateur side Aranjuez.
