Abdulwaheed Afolabi was born on December 8, 1991 in Kaduna, Nigeria. He currently plays as a forward at FC Gabala, Azerbaijan.
Abdulwaheed started playing football at Niger Tornadoes, with which he subsequently signed a professional contract. In the winter 2010/2011, Afolabi tried out for SC Veendam where he featured in the friendlies against FC Groningen and Cambuur Leeuwarden. Yet, the Dutch club did not award him with a contract and in January 2011, he moved back to Niger Tornadoes.
At the beginning of 2012 the Nigerian striker joined SC Tavriya Simferopol, where he featured in 4 Ukrainian Premier League matches.
On August 3, 2012 Abdulwaheed Afolabi signed a four-year contract with FC Kuban Krasnodar but only managed to feature in 2 games before switching for an Azerbaijani outfit Gabala.
As an international footballer Afolabi passed through several junior squads of his native country and currently represents the Nigeria youth national football team.
