Adam Mohamad El-Abd is a defender, born on 11 September 1984 in Brighton, England.
In 1994, the Englishman of Egyptian origin joined the academy of Brighton & Hove Albion and started to perform for one of youth teams. Adam spent nine years in the youth system and managed to develop into a full-scale footballer, who could play for the main squad of the club at a decent level.
In 2003, El-Abd’s dreams came true, when he penned a long-term contract with Brighton & Hove Albion. The same year, the defender was sent on loan to Bognor Regis Town, where he made two appearances during six months.
After the end of his temporary spell, Adam returned to his parent club and proved to be a talented and promising footballer during the pre-season friendlies, which were aimed at choosing the starting line-up for the season.
El-Abd managed to become one of the anchor defenders and take a regular place alongside his football-wise teammates during a short period of time and went on to net five times in 300 matches.
In 2014 El-Abd switched for Bristol City.
In 2012, the footballer received his first call-up to the Egypt national squad.
