Ahmed Musa is a forward of Nigerian origin who represents CSKA Moscow. He was born on 14 October 1992 in Jos, Nigeria.
Musa began his youth career the Aminchi Football Academy. In 2008 he moved on loan to JUTH F.C. where he made 18 appearances and netted 4 goals. In the 2009/10 season Musa was loaned out to Kano Pillars F.C. He enjoyed the head coach’s confidence, who included him into the starting eleven. Musa established a scoring record in the Nigeria Premier League by managing 18 goals for the club during a season.
Thanks to his stunning performance at Kano Pillars, Musa sparked interest of scouts from a number of European clubs. In 2010 the Dutch side VVV-Venlo put a bid on Ahmed Musa. After the two clubs reached an agreement, the footballer was transferred to the Dutch club. Musa enjoyed regular football at VVV-Venlo, operating at wings and in the attack. During his 2010-2012 spell at the club he registered 37 appearances and clinched 8 goals.
On 7 January 2012 Ahmed completed a move to CSKA Moscow for an undisclosed fee, where he quickly established himself as a first-team regular.
In 2010 Ahmed Musa won a call-up to the Nigeria national football squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, but a severe injury ruled him out of the tournament. In August 2011 he was also selected for the Nigeria U20 team to participate in the U-20 World Cup, where he notched 3 goals in 5 matches.
