A Turkish footballer Arif Şahin was born on 22 December 1985 in Eskişehir.
Arif started his junior career in 1999, when he was selected for the youth team of Bursaspor. He spent three years at the club and moved to the youth department of Bursa Merinosspor. The footballer didn’t stay for long there being scouted again by Bursaspor, where the rest of his junior career passed.
In 2004, the midfielder put a pen to paper of his first professional contract with Bilecikspor. Arif remained at the club until 2006, when he was hired by Bursa Merinosspor. After a short spell at his boyhood club, a deal was finalizes with Arsinspor. In 2007, Şahin spent time trying to make the teams with Ofspor and Sakaryaspor. He debuted for the latest on 5 September 2007 in a match against Bozüyükspor.
In 2009, after he’d failed to settle in Kartalspor, Arif was scouted by Elazığspor. He debuted for the new team on 6 September 2009 in a game with Tarsus İdman Yurdu. The midfielder won the TFF Second League under the club’s flag.
In 2013 Sahin had brief spells with Kayseri Erciyesspor and Gaziantep Büyüksehir Belediyespor and after that joined Samsunspor.
