A Turkish goalkeeper with the German citizenship started his career in Hanau, Germany. He joined FC Hanau 93 at the age of 6 and showed extremely high results there. Three years later he was recruited by Eintracht Frankfurt.
At first he was appointed to the youth team of Eintracht which was the most memorable period of Aykut’s career, as the goalkeeper himself confessed. Then he was sent to the reserves. There he had to scrape through the hardships to the first squad and finally gained his point. Having appeared 10 times for the second team he was called-up to substitute the experienced first-string players. He played 6 entire halves at a spell but was moved to the reserve side after that and played 13 more matches for the second squad in the rest of the season. Nevertheless he is very young and a great number of horizons and opportunities are still open to him. Now he is the third keeper of the squad and has got a real chance to show his worth in the second Bundesliga division.
Though Aykut is only 19 he has already spent 19 matches for Turkey U-17, U-18, U-19 national teams but he hasn’t got a cap for the senior international squad yet.
