Burak Yılmaz is a Turkish football player, a striker at Galatasaray and the Turkey National Team. He was born on July 15, 1985 in Antalya.
Burak’s career started at his local club, Antalyaspor. To a great extent the club owes him the promotion from Division 1 to the Süper Lig. The forward netted 17 times for the team in 70 matches in the league.
In June 2006 Burak Yılmaz joined Beşiktaş. In the 2006/2007 season he appeared in 39 matches and scored 6 goals for the club. In 2008 Burak Yılmaz was sold to Manisaspor and marked his first game for the new club with a hat-trick. In total, he took part in 16 matches and scored 9 goals for Manisaspor. In the summer of 2008 the player was transferred to Fenerbahçe, but he could hardly ever be seen on the pitch and in 2009 was loaned to Eskişehirspor for a year.
In February 2010 the footballer signed a contract with Trabzonspor. Having made 19 goals in 30 games in the season of 2010/2011, Burak Yılmaz helped the team take the second place in Turkish Super League (Süper Lig). In July 2011 he signed for Trabzonspor again and the new season was marked with a club record of 33 goals in 30 matches.
In July 2012 Burak Yılmaz signed a contract with Galatasaray. He has scored a number of goals so far and has been instrumental in the club’s reaching the round of 16 in the Champions League.
