Chris Maguire is a striker of Sheffield Wednesday. He was born on 16 January 1989 in Bellshill, Scotland.
In 2005, Chris put pen to paper of his first professional contract with Aberdeen and started to make occasional appearances for the club, but the manager did not let him on the pitch very often, because the footballer lacked playing practice. In 2010, Maguire went on loan to Kilmarnock and netted four goals in 14 fixtures for the team during his spell. After returning to his parent Aberdeen, the striker took his tally to 16 goals in 131 matches by 2011.
In 2011, Chris transferred to English side Derby County and fired one goal in seven games for ‘The Rams’ before sealing a temporary deal with Portsmouth in 2012. The footballer found the net three times in 11 fixtures for ‘Pompey’ during his spell and penned a permanent contract with Sheffield Wednesday, where he made one appearance as of February 2013.
From 2004 till 2010, Maguire took part in 17 games and scored seven goals for the Scotland national U-16, U-19 and U-21 squads. From 2011, he has been capped two times for the full national team.
