Christian Puggioni is a goalkeeper of Italian Chievo. He was born on 17 January, 1981 in Genoa, Italy.
Puggioni’s professional career started in 2000 after he signed his first contract with Varese. During his debut 2000/01 season at Varese Christian made only 1 appearance. In 2001 the goalkeeper moved to Borgomanero and played there in the 2001/02 season, totaling 30 matches. In 2003 Puggioni joined Giulianova and made there 18 appearances by 2004.
In 2004 the Italian goalkeeper was signed by Pisa on a 3-year contract. During the first season at Pisa the head coach gave Christian only a few opportunities to express himself, while during the rest of the stint Puggioni was Pisa’s first-choice goalkeeper. For 3 years with the Torri Christian made 82 appearances. In 2007 Puggioni signed for Reggina and was immediately sent on loan to Perugia for the 2007/08 season, totaling 33 matches. In 2009 Puggioni was loaned to Piacenza, where he made 41 appearances as the first-choice goalkeeper during the 2009/10 season.
After returning to Reggina from loan Christian periodically appeared in the starting lineup. As a result, he made a total of 61 appearances for Reggina and even scored one goal. In 2011 Christian signed a contract with Chievo and is currently the club’s reserve goalkeeper.
