Daniele Gastaldello was born on 25 June 1983 in Camposampiero, Italy. He plays as a defender and is a captain of Italian club Sampdoria.
The player’s professional career started at Serie C2 club Padova in the year 2000. In 2002 the Italian footballer was bought by Juventus. In 2003 Daniele as well as Giuseppe Sculli and Matteo Paro moved to Chievo Verona. In the winter 2004 Gastaldello was loaned to Crotone. In 2005 Siena and Juventus agreed on the player’s co-ownership. Since 2005 to 2007 Daniele was the player of Siena. In 2007 Gastaldello joined Sampdoria.
In the summer 2010 Daniele prolonged his contract with the Blucerchiati up to 2014. In the 2009/10 season Gastaldello in tandem with Stefano Lucchini cemented the defensive line of Sampdoria helping the club to finish fourth in that campaign. In 2010/11 he worked in close and productive interaction with Massimo Volta playing in the UEFA Europa League. In the summer 2012 Daniele scored his first double in the match against Varese.
