Danny Welbeck is a forward of Manchester United. He was born on 26 November 1990 in Manchester, England.
Danny spent his youth in the Manchester United academy. He was immediately included in the youth team, corresponding to his age, and was taught tactical aspects of football.
In 2008 the club decided to sign a professional contract with the player and soon received evidence of the young footballer’s talent. Danny was transferred to the first team and started to come off the bench from time to time.
In 2009 Manchester United sent the young footballer on loan to Preston North End so he could gain necessary playing practice. In 2009/2010 Welbeck’s appearances were not so frequent and he took part only in eight matches, scoring two goals.
In 2010, shortly after his return to MU, the club sent him on a one-year loan again, this time to Sunderland. In 2010/2011, Danny made 26 appearances and netted six goals for the new temporary club.
After rejoining his parent club, Welbeck was ready to play for Manchester United and Alex Ferguson gave him plenty of starts. The footballer continues to successfully perform for the ‘Red Devils’ and gradually turns into the main forward of the club. Danny has played 38 matches for the team and found the net ten times.
From 2006 till 2009, Danny was capped 35 times for the England national U-17, U-18, U-19 and U-21 teams and made 11 goals. From 2011 Welbeck was invited to play for the Three Lions, made nine appearances and contributed two goals.
