A Brazilian footballer David Braz plays as a defender for Santos FC. David was born on 21 May 1987 in Guarulhos.
The defender joined the youth department of Palmeiras in 2002 and his junior career started off. The footballer spent four years at the academy performing for different youth teams. In 2006, David clinched the club’s senior squad after the professional contract had been signed. His debut for the main squad happened in February 2007 during the Campeonato Paulista. The footballer took part in a draw match with Bragantino. In 2008, he won São Paulo State League. In total, he scored one goal in 17 matches for Palmerais.
In 2009, a move to Panathinaikos happened. David penned a long-term contract with the Greek side but he was almost immediately sent to serve loan at Flamengo. The footballer became an important team’s player making 15 appearances during the season. In 2010, the club’s management extended his contract and he became an official member of Flamengo. Altogether he appeared 28 times for the squad. Whilst defending the club, David was honored with numerous awards. In 2009, he gained the title at the Brazilian Série A. He also won the 2011 Rio State League. In 2011, the defender under the flag of Flamengo became the holder of the Taça Guanabara and the Taça Rio.
In 2012, Braz was hired by another Brazilian Série A club Santos. The same year, the defender performed for the squad that won the 2012 Recopa Sudamericana.
In 2013 he served a loan speel at Vitória.
David was the representative of the Brazil national youth team at U-18 and U-20 level. In 2007, his squad was crowned the champion of the 2007 South American Youth Championship.
