A Nigerian footballer Efetobore Ambrose Emuobo, aka Efe, performs for Celtic as a centre back. Efe was born on 18 October 1988 in Kaduna.
In 2006, Ambrose signed for Kaduna United and his career started. He gradually started to get more playing time. The 2008/2009 season would pass on loan at Bayelsa United, but the footballer made no appearances during the stint and returned to his parent club.
In the summer 2010, Efe moved to Israel, where he became a member of FC Ashdod from the Premier League. The two seasons spent at the club turned to be very successful for him. In total, the footballer appeared 67 times and netted three goals.
In the summer 2012, Ambrose was hired by the Scottish club Celtic from the Premier League. He’s already appeared 20 times for the team.
Efe used to represent the Nigeria U-20 and U-23 teams. He took part at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup and at the 2008 Summer Olympics. In 2008, he earned his first call for the Nigeria full side. In 2013 he was part of the squad that won the African Cup on Nations.
