Filipe Luís Kasmirski is a Brazilian left-back of Polish origin that started his professional career in a Brazilian club Figueirense. He played 22 games and scored once for the club to be sent on loan to Ajax Amsterdam where he didn’t manage to gain even one appearance.
Then he signed for Rentistas in August 2005 but almost straight after penning a contract he was loaned by Real Madrid. Filipe played only for the second team of the club. Having returned from Madrid he was sent to Deportivo, also on loan, where the player was lucky enough to leave a good impression on the management of the club during a successful season for the club itself. Deportivo decided to loan him for another season and then bought out the contract of the player in 2008. The player and the club agreed upon a 5-year deal.
Filipe was an integral part of the club being the only man to get involved in 38 games with 2 goals for the club in the season 2008/09.
In January of 2010 Filipe was heavily injured but in spite of that fact his transfer from Deportivo to Atlético Madrid was accomplished. From 2010 to 2014 Filipe Luis made 180 appearances for the Colchoneros and won La Liga in 2014, Copa del Rey in 2013 and Europa League in 2012.
In the summer 2014 he was snapped by Chelsea.
