A Spanish footballer Javier Rodríguez Venta, aka Javi Venta, performs as a right defender for Brentford. Javier was born on 13 December 1975 in Pola de Siero, Asturias.
In 1995, Venta was selected for the senior side of Oviedo and his professional career started off. Before he joined the B team, the young defender used to represent the club’s youth side. In 1996, Javier served a loan to Marino. He made 20 appearances for the temporary squad.
In 1999, the defender was noticed by Villarreal. Venta penned a long-term contract and became the team’s official member. Nevertheless, hardly had he joined the squad, when he was loaned out by Onda. In 2000, a temporary deal was finalized with Racing Ferrol. The season at the club was lined with 39 appearances made. In 2001, Javier defended another temporary club Tenerife. After making 29 league appearances, he returned to Villarreal. In 2002, after rejoining the team of Villarreal, Venta managed to get the place in the starting squad. Altogether, he appeared 182 times for the team and was once lucky to score the goal.
In 2010, Javi Venta and his teammate Robert Pirès left Villarreal. In August 2010, the defender signed for Levante, where the next two seasons passed. The spell was lined with one ball racked up in 59 club’s fixtures. In the summer 2012, Javi rejoined the former side Villarreal.
In July 2013 the veteran joined an English side Brentford.
