Jermaine Beckford is a striker of Bolton Wanderers. He was born on 9 December 1983 in Ealing, London, England.
In 2000, Jermaine joined the academy of London side Chelsea and spent three years with ‘The Blues’, which helped him to raise the level of his performance and give a final touch to all the preparations for a professional start. In 2003, the footballer put pen to paper of a senior contract with Wealdstone and amassed 54 goals in 82 fixtures for the club during three years (excluding his loan spell at Uxbridge, where he netted two goals in eight games).
In 2006, Beckford penned a four-year contract with Leeds United, but was sent on loan to Carlisle United at once. The striker fired one goal in four matches for the team during his spell and sealed a temporary deal with Scunthorpe United, where he found the net eight times in 18 fixtures. After returning to his parent Leeds United, Jermaine took his tally to 72 goals in 126 games for ‘The Peacocks’ by 2010.
In May 2010, the footballer completed a move to Liverpool side Everton and went on to net eight times in 34 matches for ‘The Toffees’ during the 2010/2011 season. In the summer 2011, Beckford’s services were secured by Leicester City, which saw him kick nine goals in 39 fixtures during the 2011/2012 season.
In the summer 2012, the striker finalized a temporary move to Huddersfield Town and chipped in eight goals in 21 games for ‘The Terriers’.
The following year Beckford switched for Bolton Wanderers.
