Lewis McGugan is a midfielder of Watford. He was born on 25 October 1988 in Long Eaton, England.
Lewis spent last years of his youth career in the academy of Nottingham Forest, where he was preparing for a professional start. The footballer penned his first senior contract with the club and joined the main squad in 2006.
McGugan impressed during pre-season trainings and showed he was ready to face any competition, which helped the midfielder to gain the head coach’s trust. Lewis was given a lot of playing practice during his début season and earned even more chances to come on the pitch. The footballer made 202 appearances and amassed 40 goals for the club before joining Watford in the summer 2013.
In 2004, McGugan was called up to the England national U-17 squad and contributed two goals in ten matches for the team till 2006. From 2006 till 2007, the midfielder was capped four times for the England national U-19 squad.
