Marc Bartra Aregall was born in 1991 in Sant Jaume, Spain. Currently he plays for FC Barcelona as a central defender.
A Spanish footballer started youth playing career in Espanyol and then joined FC Barcelona youth ranks. After that he went on with Barcelona’s reserves since 2009.
In February 2010 Bartra made his debut for the first team substituting Jeffrén Suárez for the last 30 minutes, when they suffered a 1–2 loss to Atlético Madrid. His fist La Liga match, where he played all 90 minutes, was a goalless draw against Deportivo de La Coruña.
Marc Bartra helped his team to advance from behind with the first goal for Barca and the match against Málaga CF ended 3-1 win.
He played for the Spanish team at Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 levels. Since 2010 Bartra represents the Spanish autonomous community of Catalonia.
