Nenad Tomovic is a defender of ACF Fiorentina. He was born on 30 August 1987 in Kragujevac, Serbia.
In 1999 Nenad entered the academy of Radnicki Kragujevac where he spent the first four years of his youth career. In 2003 Nenad moved to the academy of Rad and in 2004 he was finally noticed by Red Star Belgrade, whose youth academy was one of the best in the country. Nenad had been groomed there for two years and was desperate to start his senior professional career.
In 2006 Nenad was loaned out to Rad where he made 38 appearances and scored 2 goals during 2 seasons. Then he returned to Red Star and stayed there for one more year. All in all the Serbian played 49 games and made one goal for Red Star Belgrade.
In 2009 Tomovic signed a contract with Genoa C.F.C. and immediately joined the first team. But mostly he had to cope with the role of the bench player and it hampered his future development. So in January 2011 Genoa loaned the Serbian to Lecce where Nenad became an undisputed starter.
He was transferred to ACF Fiorentina for €2.5 million on 31 August 2012.
Since 2008 Nenad was capped six times for the Serbia national team.
