Roda Antar is a Lebanese footballer of Sierra Leonean descent. He was born on 12 September 1980 in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Roda started out his professional career at a Lebanese club Tadamon Sour in 1998 where he played for five years. However, he spent two seasons out on loan at the German Bundesliga side Hamburger SV. Antar helped his temporary club to win the DFB-Ligapokal in 2003.
Since 2003 till 2007, the attacking midfielder played for SC Freiburg. He sparked furor during his debut game for the club as he scored a hat-trick in a 4-2 win over VfL Bochum and immediately got a moniker the Football God. In the 2007/08 season, Antar played for FC Köln. In March 2008 his maiden goal for the club, which was a spectacular bicycle kick, was named the goal of the month.
In 2009, the Lebanese player moved to China where he joined the top-flight side Shandong Luneng. He became an instrumental figure for the team as he helped them to win the Chinese Super League in 2010 and finish as the Chinese FA Cup runners-up in 2011.
In 2014 Antar switched for Jinagsu Sainty.
Roda Antar is regularly capped to the Lebanon national team since 1998. He took part in the 1998 and 2002 Arab Nations Cup and AFC Asion Cup in 2000. He also played for his national squad in the 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. Antar is the captain of Lebanon team since 2005.
