Ryan Tunnicliffe is a midfielder, born on 30 December 1992 in Heywood, England.
Ryan began his youth career in the Manchester United academy. For many years he had been a player of different youth teams of the club and took part in the FA Youth Cup. Ryan deserved the credence of the coaching staff due to his outstanding performance in midfield. He has a great vision of the field, ball possession and passing skills, which is valued highly nowadays.
By 2009 Tunnicliffe went through a number of the MU youth teams and his level was suitable for moving to the first team. That did not mean he would become Old Trafford regular at once, but the head coach could observe the player at arm’s length during trainings. Ryan spent two years at the training ground, raising his level with the first team.
In 2011 it was time to let the footballer play the game. He was sent on loan to Peterborough United and he spent a full season there, making 26 appearances. It is currently a record that soon may be beaten by appearances for Manchester United. On September 26, 2012, Ryan made his debut for Manchester United in a League Cup clash against another United squad from Newcastle. In 2013 Ryan also played for Barnsley and Ipswich Town on loan.
In January 2014 Tunnicliffe signed a permanent deal with a Premier League side Fulham but was loaned to Wigan Athletic several weeks later, when Felix Magath was appointed the manager at Craven Cottage.
From 2007 till 2008, Tunnicliffe played eight matches for the England national U16 team. From 2008 till 2009, he made ten appearances and netted four goals for the national U17 squad.
