Scott Carson started his professional career with Leeds United in 2003. The young goalkeeper didn’t manage to establish himself as a squad regular making only 3 appearances for three years. Nevertheless, in 2005 he prompted interest from Liverpool. Carson was nominally one of its members until 2008. He spent the major part of this period as a loan player of Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton Athletic and Aston Villa. In 2005 the footballer won the Champions League together with Liverpool.
From 2008 to 2011 Scott featured for West Bromwich Albion. For the first time in his career Carson became a first-choice goalkeeper making 110 appearances for his new club. In 2011 he joined Turkish outfit Bursaspor.
Carson returned to Britain in 2013 upon joining Wigan Athletic.
From 2007 to 2011 Scott Carson played 4 matches for the England national football team. The keeper gained 29 caps for the England national U-21 team.
