Serhiy Rudyka currently performs as a midfielder for FC Metalurh Zaporizhya. He was born on 14 June 1988 in Zaporizhya, Ukraine.
Rudyka trained at FC Metalurh Zaporizhya. He went through complete training and performed for many academy youth teams, getting a lot of playing experience in the period of 5 years. During his spell at the club Serhiy reached the necessary level to start professional football career. In 2005, Rudyka signed for FC Metalurh, becoming a professional footballer.
Serhiy got the opportunity to perform in the reserve team for FC Metalurh-2 Zaporizhya, where he was intended to gain more experience in order to be ready for playing in the first squad. The midfielder stayed in the reserve team for two and a half years, during which he was not given a frequent opportunity to appear on the pitch. So Rudyka clocked up over 15 appearances, notching 3 goals.
In 2008, Serhiy Rudyka grew into a promising footballer and finally joined FC Metalurh first team. In 2010, Rudyka moved on loan to FC Zorya Luhansk, where the footballer played for a part of the 2010/2011 season.
In a short time Serhiy performed in 10 matches, netting a goal. Having returned from loan, the midfielder occasionally continued to play for FC Metalurh, for which he currently performs. In a four-year stint at the club, the footballer appeared in 48 matches, scoring 6 goals.
In 2008, Rudyka celebrated his international debut. He performed in one match for the Ukraine national U-21 team.
