Stefan Radu

Ștefan Radu is a center back for Lazio. He was born on 22 October 1986 in Bucharest, Romania.

Ștefan’s youth career started at Dinamo București youth academy. The young defender represented the club’s youth team at various youth championships.

In 2004 Ștefan officially began his professional career at the home club after signing a 4-year contract. During that time the head coach periodically included Radu in the starting line-up but it wasn’t sufficient to turn into a key player. During 4 seasons at Dinamo the Romanian made 61 appearances and scored 1 goal.

In 2008 Ștefan Radu accepted S.S. Lazio’s offer and signed for the club on a long-term contract. Since Ștefan’s debut season with Lazio the Italian club’s head coach trusted the player and often included him in the starting lineup. Thus he’s featured in 94 games so far.

From 2006 to 2008 Ștefan Radu was capped 13 times and scored 1 goal for Romania U-21. Since 2006 Ștefan has got 6 caps for Romania.
