Steven Reid is a midfielder, born on 10 March 1981 in Kingston upon Thames, England.
In 1997 Steven began his professional career by signing for Millwall. The head coach noticed the footballer after his first season and let him come on the pitch with the starting team several times. The leader’s intuition worked brilliantly as Reid made a very encouraging display, which helped him to become the anchor player on the right flank of defense and make 17 goals in 139 matches.
In 2003 English side Blackburn Rovers took an interest in an opportunity to secure the footballer’s services and agreed all terms of the transfer, which was finalized in the summer the same year. However, Steven did not get to the starting line-up at once and performed as a reserve midfielder before getting more playing time and practice. Reid made 113 appearances and scored six goals for the club during six years. In the summer 2009, he went on a six-month loan to QPR and took part in two games for the temporary team.
In January 2010 Steven got acquainted with West Bromwich, where he performed on loan during half a year. The management really liked the footballer and expressed the wish to secure his services on permanent basis, which actually happened in the summer 2010. The midfielder became one of the pivots on right flank and continued his successful performance for the club up till 2014. Then he moved to Burnley.
From 2001 till 2010, Steven Reid was capped 23 times and contributed two goals for the Republic of Ireland national team.
