Tongo Doumbia is a midfielder of Wolverhampton Wanderers. He was born on 6 August 1989 in Vernon, Eure, France.
Tongo’s career took off in Olympique Noisy-le-Sec in 1999. The footballer performed for the junior squad of the club till 2002, when he completed a move to FC Les Lilas. He spent three fruitful years in the new academy and joined RSC Montreuil in January 2006. It took the midfielder one year to finish his preparation for a senior start.
In the summer 2007, Doumbia sealed a deal with Châteauroux and was sent to the reserve squad of the club. The footballer’s first appearance for the main team came on 20 February 2009 in the match versus EA Guingamp. In 2009, Tongo transferred to Rennes and netted two goals in 53 fixtures till the summer 2012, when his services were secured by English side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
After one year with the Wolves Doumbiia was loaned to a French outfit Valenciennes.
