Viktor Vasin is a defender who represents CSKA Moscow. He was born on October 6, 1988 in Leningrad, Soviet Union.
Viktor launched his youth career at FC Zenit academy, playing as a defensive midfielder. In 2006 he penned a professional contract with PFC Spartak Nalchik. Vasin was used mainly as a back-up. Despite Viktor stepped up to the first team in 2008, he still wasn’t a regular footballer, and the club’s management decided to loan him out to FC Nizhny Novgorod for the next season. Viktor spent a successful season at Nizhny Novgorod, featuring in 31 matches and clinching a goal.
On 13 January 2011 Viktor Vasin completed a move to CSKA Moscow. An injury sidelined him, so he started training with the squad only on 27 May 2011. Viktor is used as a back-up option at CSKA.
Vasin won 3 international caps for the Russia U21 squad before playing his debut match for the senior national team in 2010.
