Wesley de Ruiter is a goalkeeper of Den Bosch. He was born on 13 January 1986 in Leiden, Netherlands.
Wesley’s career took off in amateur VV Noordwijk, where the footballer was noticed by Utrecht scouts. The keeper started to perform for junior squads of the club and made good progress, which helped him to clinch a place in the main team. De Ruiter’s professional début came on 27 January 2008 in the away 2-0 loss to NEC Nijmegen. The footballer made 20 appearances for Utrecht during his spell.
On 26 January 2011, Wesley sealed a six-month loan deal with Den Bosch. Two days later, the keeper made his first appearance for the temporary team in the away 0-1 victory over RKC Waalwijk. De Ruiter took part in 12 matches for Den Bosch during half a year.
In the summer 2011, the footballer penned a two-year contract with Rotterdam side Excelsior, where he continues to perform up till now. Wesley’s début for the new club came on 5 August 2011 in the home 0-2 loss to Feyenoord.
Having made 34 appearances for the side, de Ruiter completed a move to Den Bosch in the summer 2013.
