Wu Weian is a Chinese midfielder playing for Guangzhou R&F in the Chinese Super League. He was born on Meizhou, Guangdong, China.
Wu is a product of his homeland club Guangdong Youth before joining Guangdong Xiongying from the second tier in 2002. He made a total of 12 goals and 56 appearances during his three-year stint at the club. In 2005, Wu Weian moved to Tianjin Teda where he shortly cemented his place in the starting eleven scoring 7 goals in 26 matches during his debut season. He was the part of the team that finished as runners-up in the 2010 Chinese Super League season and was an instrumental player during the 2011 Chinese FA Cup when his side beat Shandong Luneng Taishan 2-1 in the final match and won the tournament. In 2012, Wu signed for Guangzhou R&F newly promoted to the top-flight league.
Wu Weian is capped to the China national team since 2007. He made his international debut in a friendly match against Kazakhstan.
