Zeng Cheng is a Chinese goalkeeper. Currently he plays for the Chinese Super League champions Guangzhou Evergrande. He was born in 1987 in Wuhan, Hubei, China.
Zeng Cheng began his senior professional career at Wuhan Guanggu in 2005 beeing immediately loaned to the Indonesian team Persebaya Surabaya, where he made 34 appearances. He made his debut for Wuhan Guanggu in November 2005, in the league match against Shanghai Shenhua that ended in a 1-1 draw. He stayed at the club until 2008 but didn’t manage to become the first-choice keeper.
In 2009, Zeng Cheng moved to Henan Jianye, playing in the Chinese Super League, and since his move became the first-choice goalkeeper, replacing their existing keeper.
In 2013 he switched to the champions, Guangzhou Evergrande.
Since 2009 he represents the China national football team, after he performed well at the 2009 Chinese Super League, when Henan Jianye finished third. The first match he played was against Iran in June 2009, which they won 1-0. He was a part of the winning team at the 2010 East Asian Football Championship.
