Meistriliiga is the top division in the Estonian football league system. It was established in 1992. Ten clubs compete in the championship and face each other four times throughout a season. The season lasts from March to November and at the end of the season the team with the poorest result relegates. Its place in the top flight is taken by the winner of Esiliiga (the second tier) and the second last team plays two matches with the second best team of the Esiliiga in play-off, home and away games. In 2013 Meistriliiga was renamed to the A. Le Coq Premium Liiga for sponsorship reasons. The most titled team is Flora.
The league champion gets a chance to play in UEFA Champions League First qualifying round, the second and third placed teams enter UEFA Europa League First qualifying round and the domestic cup winner plays in UEFA Europa League qualification round.
