
History and achievements
Aktobe is a football club from Kazakhstan that was created in 1967 under the title Aktyubinets.
The club participated in the Soviet championship where they twice became the winners of the second league.
The first major achievement came to the team in the season 1993/1994 when they reached the final of the national cup where they lost to “Vostok” 0-1. In the mid-1990 the team received its current name.
The first time the side tasted the honors of the domestic championship was in the season 2004/2005, two season later Aktobe achieved the treble with national championship, the cup and supercup. Overall the side’s history boasts four titles of the Kazakhstan Premier League, one national cup and two Kazakhstan Super Cups.
The home ground of the team is Central Stadium that can sit up to 12,800. The nickname of the club is the Red-Whites.
