Real Murcia

History and achievements

Real Murcia is a professional football team that was founded in 1908.The club received its current name in 1923.

The first run in the top flight dates back to the season 1939/1940. Overall the team finished atop of the second division 9 times. In the early 1990s they even fell into Tercera (the third division) yet bounced back the following season.

The nickname of Real Murcia is the Paprika-men. The team’s colors are red and white. The home arena of the team is Nueva Condomina and it can sit up to 33,045 fans. Jesús Samper is the team’s chairman.

Overall throughout its history the team spent 18 seasons in the first league.
