A Spanish footballer Abel Gómez Moreno acts as a midfielder for Córdoba CF. Abel was born on 20 February 1982 in Seville, Andalusia.
Moreno spent his junior years at the youth academies of Atlético Monachil and Granada 74. His senior debut took place in 2000, after he’d signed for Sevilla. The young midfielder became one of the club’s B team. He stayed with the reserves until 2004. The footballer finished the spell with 16 goals from 96 appearances. In 2004, Abel transferred to Málaga B. From 2004 to 2006, the player defended the colors of the club’s reserves. He was the squad’s anchor player. Altogether, he appeared 68 times and scored seven goals.
In 2006, Moreno joined Murcia. He helped the club to get back its position in the top flight. Unfortunately, relegation would follow in 2008 and the footballer would leave the club. In 2008, Gómez defended Steaua Bucureşti and moved to Xerez. Together with the new squad, Abel managed to get the promotion to the first division. Despite the footballer’s good performance, Xerez didn’t manage to escape the relegation and lost its position in the top flight. In 2010, Moreno made up his mind to rejoin the boyhood club Granada. A transfer turned to be a very fortunate idea. The 2010/2011 season was lined with 42 appearances made and the midfielder became an essential part for the main team. Together with the club, he was promoted to the first division. In 2012, Abel finished his Granada spell with Córdoba move.
