A Brazilian footballer José Anilton Júnior performs for Moreirense as a centerback. Anilton was born on 10 July 1980 in Penedo.
The first club, where the young footballer started his performance was the local Penedense SC. In three years, the defender was offered to join Ipanema FC, where he spent the following two years. In 2005, José joined Corinthians. The footballer failed to become the team’s constant and very soon he left the club.
In 2006, Anilton penned a season-long contract with the Portuguese side Aves. In 2007, he joined SC Braga. The player made only two appearances for the club and the rest of the spell spent on loan at the Romanian side Pandurii Târgu Jiu. In 2008, the player was bought out by Portimonense, where he managed to get more playing time. In total, Anilton featured in 32 club’s fixtures. In 2010, the defender’s contract was bought out by Moreirense.
