Moreirense Futebol Clube was founded in 1938 in Moreira de Cónegos, Portugal.
The club plays home matches at the Parque de Jogos Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas stadium with the capacity of a bit more than 6,000 spectators.
The club’s best performance in the elite division of the Portuguese championship resulted in the 9th place of the 2003/2004 season. Apart from that Moreirense is a multiple winner of Portuguese low-tier leagues: Liga de Honra (2002) and Portuguese Second Division (1995 and 2001).
