Camel Meriem is a midfielder who plays for OGC Nice. He was born on October 18, 1979 in Montbéliard, France.
Camel began his professional career in 1998, when he signed a deal with Sochaux. He played 82 matches and created 9 goals during 1998-2002 seasons.
In 2002 Camel Meriem joined Ligue 1 side Bordeaux. He played three years for the club, participating in 82 matches and netting 8 goals. Camel also played for Olympique de Marseille in the 2003/2004 season. Camel played 31 matches and netted 3 goals. In August 2005 Meriem signed for Monaco. He appeared in 110 games and clinched 8 goals during his four-year stay at the club. In 2010 the footballer signed for Aris Thessaloniki. On 9 August Camel penned a one-year deal with AC Arles-Avignon. In June 2011 he completed a move to OGC Nice. He played 14 matches during his first year stay at Nice yet scored no goals.
In 2004/2005 he was called up to the French national football team and took part in 3 matches.
