An Israeli footballer Eden Ben Basat plays for the French club Toulouse. He was born on 8 September 1986.
Eden grew up in a team of one of the best clubs of Israel, Hapoel Haifa. But he moved to the youth department of Maccabi Haifa. His fabulous performance for the youth squad and constant progress let him to get promotion to the professional soccer.
In 2003, a four-year contract was penned. During the spell he had never been sent on loan. Despite not playing regularly for the first eleven, Eden got some useful match experience. In total, he was let 21 times on the field and scored 4 goals.
In 2007, the contract was extended and the striker was happy when he found out he would be loaned to Maccabi Herzliya. He spent half a year with the temporary club, having made 9 appearances.
The 2007/2008 season, was spent serving loans to Hapoel Haifa. He appeared as a starter quiet regularly, having featured in 26 fixtures. The same season turned to become very effective, as the Israeli footballer was lucky to find the net 13 times.
The following three years were spent at the motherland, where he performed for such clubs as Ironi Kiryat Shmona, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Haifa. Over the course of that time, he made 82 appearances and amassed 30 goals. The 2010/2011 season turned to be the footballer’s best point in his career. He scored 27 goals in two-season time.
In 2011, Ben Basat made up his mind to move to France, where he joined Brest from Ligue 1. He has become the starter of the squad, having played 24 games and netting 4 balls in less than a year time. In 2013 the Israeli joined Toulouse.
He was called up for the national team of Israel at youth levels from U-17 to U-19. In total, he scored 9 goals in 17 matches for the squad.
