Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor is a striker who plays for Tottenham Hotspur. He was born on 26 February 1984 in Lomé, Togo.
Emmanuel played for the French side Metz (2001-2003) and Monaco (2003-2006) and for the English side Arsenal (2006-2009).
In 2006 Adebayor made his debut for the Togo national football team during the World Cup. According to the results of the tournament, Emmanuel was voted the best African goalscorer. At the African Cup of Nations Emmanuel Adebayor represented his national team as a captain. In 2009 Emmanuel became Manchester City player. In 2011 he went on loan to Real Madrid and Tottenham.
Performing for different clubs, Emmanuel stored up a lot of awards: the Copa del Rey (2010/2011), the BBC African Footballer of the Year (2007), the African Player of the Year (2008) and many others.
